Step 2 - Review Findings
After linking your AWS account and starting your first scan, GuardKite will analyze your cloud resources and present security and compliance findings. This step involves reviewing the scan results through the Dashboard and Findings page.
Dashboard

The Dashboard provides a high-level overview of your AWS security posture, while the Findings Page allows for an in-depth exploration of security issues. Key components include:
- Findings Percentage Chart – A visual breakdown of findings categorized as Pass, Low, Medium, High, and Critical.
- Findings Count – Displays the number of findings for each severity level:
- Critical – Urgent issues requiring immediate attention.
- High – Significant security risks that should be prioritized.
- Medium – Moderate risks that need review.
- Low – Minor security recommendations.
- Findings History Trend Chart – Displays how findings have evolved over time, helping users track improvements or regressions.
How To Use Findings Page

The Findings Page provides a detailed view of security issues across your AWS environment. It includes:
1. Default View
Displays all detected issues categorized by check names.
Each finding provides essential details, including the security rule being checked, the number of impacted resources, and its severity level (Low, Medium, High, or Critical). You can expand each finding to view affected resources and utilize filter options (Severity, Category, and AWS Account) to refine the results.
2. Resource Details View
Expanding a finding provides a detailed list of affected resources, including their Resource ID, AWS Account, and Region. Each resource entry also displays its severity level, with options to rescan the resource or view more in-depth details.
3. Finding Details & Remediation Steps
The Details panel provides a comprehensive explanation of the finding, including its impact and affected resource. Users can review the detection history to see when the issue was first detected and last scanned. The page also includes step-by-step remediation guidance to resolve the issue effectively.
Next Steps
Once you have reviewed the findings, take the necessary actions to remediate security gaps.
